My Personal Philosophy
From the moment a child picks up a first book, he or she begins a life-long journey with literature and language, and learning. My younger years were so enriched with a parent who read to me and encouraged my reading. I fondly remember reading all of my "Little Golden Books" and putting them back on my shelf--alphabetically, of course! I truly believe that literature can change lives. It is important that the love of literature is nourished as a child progresses. As librarians and educators, it is our charge to transform learners' lives with the most high-quality literature for youth. It is my mission to promote and share the brightest and best literature for our youth. |
